Surprisingly this book had dept and some dark and emotional moments that got me in tears....also some quotes that the "hero" was professing to the heroine were very beautiful and memorable...

Yes...with no equivocation i could feel the emotional connection between the H/h and I like the fact both of them had a history together as "siblings" living together, but they were not siblings "by blood" and certainly it did not bother me that the hero was the heroines stepbrother..it was the way that was written that it looked "natural" for them to fall in love to one another....

The passion the hero showed stole the show for me.....for some readers he may be too aggressive..but I could see his vulnerability that made him very likable character I could understand where his coming from...The guy literally suffered for years hiding his love for the heroine..trapped in his own feelings...being uncertain of their future together. So for me his possessiveness and persistence was very understandable and endearing to watch....the passion he showed to the heroine was of the chart! Simply put, it was unconditional love that he nurtured for years with fear of rejection....and still he believed that one day they could be "together" and he did not care for anything only to fulfill his purpose "to marry her".. He was so intensely focused on their love it was mesmerizing that he could love her with every breath he took...he wanted her body, her loyalty and heart...i was convinced that he "loved her passionately"

The heroine was very fragile and I liked her..but i wish she could have stood by the hero when they were confronted with their parents and fight for his love like he fought for her!

A true keeper. I must have read this book at least ten times--it's that good. It's sort of like a friends to lovers story, but complicated by the fact that their parents are married (although the hero and heroine aren't related by blood). The scene where the heroine realizes the hero is a "man" is fabulous, and the way the hero has been in love with her since forever is even better. For a short book, it packs a lot of emotional punch. I just wish the author hadn't fallen off the face of the planet. I keep hoping she's still writing and I can figure out her pseudonym.
