Divine By Blood Partholon PC Cast 9780373802913 Books

Not a fan of this series. Started off seeming like it might have been a cool read because of the references to mythology.

The author basically puts herself in a book (Oklahoma teacher, same looks and general description). Also, the situations that arise are too convenient. Some plot hole issues, and just reads like a juvenile had written it. She basically wrote fan fiction on herself.

Divine By Blood Partholon PC Cast 9780373802913 Books Reviews

While I have been amazed by this story, I find this book a little bit of a let down. I can't put my finger on what let me down though. Guess I wanted MORE from the Temple of Epona and not so much on the Seditha ways. I guess if you add into that small disappointment the tragic deaths of the characters that were endearing...that is, perhaps, where the "let down" was centered. I guess in retrospect, and possibly the next reading (I always read the stories repeatedly), it will seem to make more sense of the ending.
I didn't expect to enjoy Divine by Blood as much as I did. I've read both Divine by Mistake and Divine by Choice, I liked the story where it stood and didn't see a need for a third novel. fortunately curiosity got the better of of me, otherwise I would have passed by an excellent book.

Morrigan Parker was born to be somone very special, only she doesn't know it yet. What she does know is that she has never felt like she belonged. Strange Voices in the wind, Odd abilities, why are things happening to her? Raised by Grandparents who aren't really hers, and longing for the mother who wasn't who they told her. Eighteen years of secrets are about to come out. As Morrigan faces the truth about her mother, two paths are set before her. Will she head the call of the Goddess or be lost to the darkness?

P C Cast has a gift for creating worlds that are breathtaking and utterly believable, with depth and richness that causes a deep emotional connection. Divine by Blood can be read as a stand alone novel, But I highly recommend reading the trilogy. Book 1Divine By Mistake Book 2Divine By Choice also you might likeElphame's Choice 1 (Luna) and 2 Brighid's Quest two stories about the children of Shannon's Grand Daughter, of which I hope there will be a third.
I am really enjoying this series. Though, with an honest review, I had a hard time getting lost in this book as the previous ones. I don't know what I really expected, I knew Morrigan would be a main center point as well as Myrna, though her part was much shorter than expected. I'll move on to the next book, gotta find out what happens in Partholon. It's interesting to read about the mirror world of our world. Something as a child I dreamt about. Not to mention, I love P.C. Cast!
I QUOTE (P.C. Cast is simply a master at wringing emotions from the reader as this tale made me laugh, cry, and even steam in anger and outrage. P.C. Cast covers a lot of ground in DIVINE BY BLOOD, as she begins with the wonder of Morrigan's birth and progresses till Morrigan reaches a true understanding of her heritage. Every moment is to be cherished, as P.C. Cast makes excellent use of her creation of the two worlds mirroring one another.)

I did cry I mean CRY wow I'm not a big cry baby when it comes to a book, you really have to be able to create to get me to cry on a book well hands up to pc cast on that I couldn't stop I had to put the book down and go back and still cried again. I loved this book for a conculsion to the first 2.

Yes she could of did this or that you can say that about any book but can you say the book was good the way it was written that is the question and the answer is yes.
Yes it was and if you've read the first 2 then please read the last one it don't have as much romance but I like a good book not a sex book so this was just that a good book.
Thank you PC Cast for always holding my attention and making it worth my money.
Love.love love the book.
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this series by P. C. Cast. I couldn't stop reading this one. I carried the around as I did laundry and everything else so I could continue reading (listening to text-to-speech) until the story was finished. I wish I could give this one many more than five stars.

My tags (shelves) seem so inadequate to identify this book. But it is all of that and more. I love the characters in the books so much. I have a feeling I am about to lose the older ones as new generations take their places. But I believe P. C. Cast will make them irresistible, too.

On to ordering and reading the next in the series, which, by the way, was the one that brought me to Partholon. It was the one I picked up at the library a while back. But when I started reading I knew there was back story that I needed to continue. So authors take note Let your books go to the library... many of us will buy them because of that gift!
I will admit that when I first started reading this book I thought that I wasn't going to like it as much as the first 2 installments of this trilogy. However, as the story moved forward I was pleasantly surprised and upon finishing the story can say it is probably my favorite of the 3. I really enjoyed the multiple points of view this story afforded and wish we could have heard more from Keegan's point of view or even maybe heard from ClanFinton's POV.

It was a page turner and I had a hard time walking away from it for very long. I also see where, by introducing a few new characters she could eventually extend the story into another series. Well worth the time to read it. This is actually the second time I have read the series but it had been long enough that I forgot the surprise ending.
The twists and turns, the struggles that
Morrigan faced....it was a story filled with wrong turns, defining oneself and love, most of all, love. I laughed, I cried and I cheered for Morgue old girl as the story went on. The love of family and friends as well as a goddess prevailed. Good triumphed over evil in the end. And the girl even got her man, beautiful story.
Not a fan of this series. Started off seeming like it might have been a cool read because of the references to mythology.
